How AI usage is calculated

Understand credits and how each generation is metered.

Updated July 20, 20261 min read

Getyn meters AI usage in credits. Each time you ask Getyn to build or change something and it runs the AI, it consumes credits from your workspace balance.

What uses credits

  • A generation (a build or an edit that runs the AI) consumes credits.
  • Larger or more complex jobs can cost more than small edits.
  • Self-heal retries within a single request are absorbed into that one charge — you are billed per request, not per internal attempt.

What doesn't use credits

  • Previewing your project.
  • Publishing.
  • Zero-token inline text edits made directly in the preview.
Note
Your current balance and monthly allowance are shown in the editor. When you run low, you can upgrade your plan or top up, depending on your workspace.

Where to check your usage

Your remaining credits are displayed in the project editor. For plan details and allowances, see Understanding Getyn plans.

Actual prices, allowances, and limits depend on your current plan — always refer to the pricing page and your billing settings for exact figures.
